Era City Skopje

The ERA Group is the majority owner of Skopski saem, which also owns 155,000 m2 of land designated for the biggest and best regional business-shopping centre ERA City Skopje.

Skopski Saem and the adjacent property are situated next to the main arterial road leading into Skopje, bordering on the town centre. In the past, the focus of activity was on trade fairs, various cultural and entertainment events, and conferences. Six pavilions and two office buildings spread across a 45,000 m2 lot covering 35,000 m2 in total.

Every year, Skopski saem hosts more than 8,000 exhibitors and a million visitors.

In November 2005 the ERA Group refurbished one of the exhibition pavilions and turned it into an entertainment-recreational park called Action Park, which is part of the new content aimed primarily at the younger population.

A year later, the biggest pavilion was turned into Metropolis Arena, a perfect venue for various events such as music concerts, symposiums, conventions and similar, and can accommodate up to 6,000 visitors.

In the future we are planning on implementing the Skopski saem urban design, which allows and provides for the construction of numerous buildings for various activities and purposes on additional 110,000 m2 of land.

At the same time, the ERA Group has also been busy renovating existing facilities and augmenting them with new content, in line with the new concept. The basis of the entire project is a uniform urban design on a single block of land so as to enable maximum flexibility and allow us to meet the requirements of individual clients and investors.

Access to the property is provided at four entry/exit points. Internal traffic and other infrastructure will be adapted to user requirements.

 

Shopping Centre

The shopping centre (underground parking, ground floor, second floor) will take up 85,000 m2. In addition to shops it will also include complementary activities such as fitness, wellness, bowling, multiplex cinema, restaurants… This will be followed by a another shopping centre for non-alimentary goods (garden centre, furniture, various equipment, appliances, tools, products for the home) with 22,000 m2 of premises. The shopping centre and mega market will represent the core of ERA City.

The investment required over the next five years is estimated at EUR 150,000,000, which will be provided by the ERA Group and our business partners.
